Alabama State University, founded in 1867, is one of the old days, black college in Montgomery, Alabama. ASU is a member school of the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund.

ASU has Georgian-style red brick classroom buildings and modern architectural structures. ASU is home to state-of-the-art 7,400 seat educational and athletic for ASU Acadome; Levi Watkins education center, a five-storey element constitution with more than 267,000 volumes, is state-of-the-art John L. Buskey Health Sciences Center, which is open space 80,000 feet (7,400 m2) capability which houses classrooms, offices, an interdisciplinary clinic, three beneficial psychoanalyses Labs, state-of-the-art Gross Anatomy Lab, Laboratory for Analysis of Human Motion (LHAM), a Women's Health / kardiopulmonal lab and health lab and WVAS FM 90.7, the 80,000-watt, university operated public radio station.
